With a diehard passion for influencing others through what he calls the “art form of public relations,” for more than 25 years, Monté Twilley has enhanced the visibility and relevance of numerous businesses and nonprofit groups by helping those entities develop sound marketing, public relations and community relations strategies which have resulted in increased revenue, a stronger presence and acceptance within their respective communities.

A consensus builder, Monté has a unique gift of disarming an intense situation. While serving as chairman of a media association, Monté was instrumental in mediating a Thanksgiving Day truce between two popular radio talk-show hosts who for weeks had publicly accused each other of racism. Afterwards, Denver newspaper media critics interviewed Monté about the successful negotiation process.

In February 2004, Monté formed The Twilley Group, a communications firm specializing in promoting non-profits and newly-formed small businesses. In the summer of 2009, the company's business model was changed and Monté launched his It’s About Time Tour ™ traveling the country in an effort to encourage people to follow their dreams and achieve their goals, no matter what stage of life they find themselves. The tour is slated to end New Year's Eve in 2019. Monté provides public speaking training and motivational seminars for high schools, universities, corporations and organizations.

Monté has appeared several times on Straight Talk, a monthly public affairs TV show produced at Fox 45 in Baltimore.

While serving as a Toastmasters International chapter president in the early 1990s, Monté began to develop his public speaking skills. Monté defines himself as a “people person.” He is committed to developing leaders within the corporate, small business and non-profit sector. He is currently a member of Toastmasters' Maryland Advanced Speakers Club.

A former employee of Bank of America and the defunct MBNA America Bank, he was sometimes called upon to motivate both his peers and superiors. Although he left the bank in February 2007, Monté was invited back to Bank of America in June 2008 to address his former peers at a departmental rally. It afforded him another opportunity to exemplify the company's corporate precepts as well as revitalize the associates.

Because of his proven track record as a motivator, strong ability to communicate and influence others, Monté is a meeting planner’s dream and can be a tremendous asset to any person responsible for securing a keynote or session speaker.

Monté utilizes his research skills which enables him to speak on an array of topics. The result is a more, thorough, effective and enthusiastic delivery of his speeches.

Serving 10 years in the U.S. Army as an administrative specialist, military journalist and public affairs specialist, he is the recipient of the Army Meritorious Service Medal. His tours of duty included the 3rd U. S. Infantry (The Old Guard), sometimes referred to as the Presidential Honor Guard, Fort Myer, Virginia; U.S. Army Detachment, U.S. Army Element Landsoutheast (NATO), Izmir, Turkey; Headquarters, U. S. Army Readiness Region VIII, Aurora, Colorado; and Headquarters, 11th Aviation Regiment, U.S. Army Storck Barracks, Illesheim, Germany He has also served with the 222nd Broadcast Public Affairs Detachment, U.S. Army Reserve, Bell, CA; HHC 115th Military Police Battalion, Maryland Army National Guard, Salisbury, MD; and the 29th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Maryland Army National Guard, Baltimore, Maryland.

Monté is a Past Chairman of the Advisory Council for The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore. A native of Salisbury, Maryland, Monté lives in Baltimore County, Maryland and is married.
